ASK! I’m Asking for JibberJobber Testimonials

Monday I posted Job Seeker Success: Simply ASK! I think it’s a mega-important principle for career management.

When I started JibberJobber I started to do a different kind of networking… not as a job seeker, but as an aspiring mega-success.

I found, as I networked in that capacity, I had people say “what can I do to help you?” I really didn’t know how to respond to that. I had to figure out a good response that could help people help me.

It was uncomfortable at first, but eventually I got used to asking for help, especially when people ASKED how they could help.

Weird, huh?

So today, I’m ASKING you a favor…

I have been negligent in ASKING for testimonials for JibberJobber.  Many years ago I had asked, but it’s been a long time.  I have more users now, and the system has advanced quite a bit, and it’s time that I ASK you to give me testimonials and endorsements I can use in my marketing.

Note: I’m not ASKING for “feedback” or things to improve (you can send those to us through the Contact Us form).  I’m ASKING for the kudos… the good stuff.

So please, leave a comment below with a testimonial. If you love it, if you use it, if you need it, if you think it’s brilliant, if it has made a difference in your career management and job search, please share this with the world, and help me establish more credibility for JibberJobber…

If you want to leave any personal information, like what industry you are in, what title you typically have, or how you use JibberJobber, please do that (for example, as a non-job seeker, etc.)

THANK YOU 🙂

  1. The Career Education Center at the University of Detroit Mercy began using JibberJobber in 2010. JibberJobber provides UDM students and alumni with an additional resource in conducting an effective job search. In addition, job seekers have access to a set of high quality videos on using social media to enhance networking opportunities woth potential employers. The recent addition of the mobile version provides busy college students with an easy way to organize their job search efforts on the go!

  2. I met Jason back in 2006 when the JobberJobber idea was unfolding. I was drawn to all that Jason has done because for the last eight years of volunteering helping people with careers and self-employment. I highly recommend the tools that Jason offers

  3. I’ve been using JibberJobber every day since 2007 and find it extremely valuable for keeping my professional network alive and thriving.

It’s great being able to easily obtain any contact data I need from home, at work and on the road (parked of course).

However, more importantly, I’ve found that setting action item email reminders to ping my contacts at appropriate intervals is invaluable. Also being able to create log messages via the BCC line of my email correspondences help me easily recall our past discussions.

JibberJobber has provided me a power tool to master the art of power networking. Thanks!

  4. I’ve been using JibberJobber since it first launched and I can honestly say– I can’t imagine not having it.

If you’re looking for a system that’s easy to use, intuitive and keeps getting better with each update, look no further.

Grab a free account and get started. Um, don’t be surprised if you upgrade; it’s that good.

  5. I use JibberJobber as a coach, not as a job seeker.

It’s a great CRM for a solopreneur. My VA and I are able to share client information and tasks; I have a database and a full-scope record for every client; I have my contacts etc available on my smart phone; I have vast functionality in many areas. I have video tutorials in just about every aspect of the program. And in Jason I have a developer who understands the career world I work in every day–for me, that’s huge.

In fact, one of the things that I love about Jason is that once a user identifies something that they wish JJ could do, he goes out and makes it happen if he can — and he usually can.

For those who have Macs, here’s a plus: Coming from the PC world (I transitioned to a Mac 3 years ago), where I used ACT as my CRM for many years, the lack of ACT (or a comparable solution) for Mac was a shock. Add to that, the fact that my VA is in the PC world and I am in the Mac world. We could not find a CRM to use that was simple in format (easy to learn and view!), affordable, in the cloud, crossed both platforms, and would also have an app for a Droid and an iPhone. Using JJ was the answer to months of frustration trying to locate a solution.

I remember when JJ was a new product. I see it now closing in on 5 years and know why it’s not only stood the test of time, and grown to become a robust solution — because it works! And because Jason will never let it become stale. It will always be fresh, useful, and easy. That’s why it’s my go-to solution. The fact that it’s run by one of the most generous, dedicated, ethical, smart, and funny people I know is a plus.

    Happy birthday JibberJobber!

  6. I’m a recruiter not a job hunter so I’ve never had reason to use JibberJobber and I can’t leave a comment on the product itself.

If fact, I will admit that I didn’t get Jibber Jobber at first. But I will also note that after a few years I realized to my surprise that Jason Alba was the first person I knew who had offered a contact manager in The Cloud.

Again, that doesn’t say anything about the product. But I do think he was a bit ahead of the curve.

  7. Any time I receive anything from Jason I open it immediately. I know I will always receive pertinent information that I can use and pass onto my candidates (I am a recruiter). I highly recommend this site to everyone even if they aren’t looking for a new position.

  8. As Thomas E. Kenny said above, I find JibberJobber vital to keeping my networking information accessible.

This is a particular concern in a time when any of us may lose access to work-provided hardware and/or software at little to no notice.

I also appreciate that I can choose to put a contact’s information into my JJ database without the contact having to agree to “link” or “friend” or any other transaction taking place first. I control my database, which is available even if my own hardware / software should die.

    Thanks, Jason! 😎

  9. Jason –
I’ve followed your blog and sung your praises for four years now. As a Career Coach, I use your story (an IT guy turned unemployed blogger) to inspire my candidates to use blogging as a transformative life experience. I also recommend using your job search system to all my candidates, and suggest reading your books as well. You’re the bee’s knees and the cat’s pajamas all rolled into one!

  10. Jason-
I appreciate getting access to JibberJobber when you came thru New England + spoke at the WIND Networking Group.

I use JibberJobber in my consulting business for small businesses. It’s my Personal Assistant.

I keep it open right next to my emails. When I invite or get invited on LinkedIn, the contact goes right into JibberJobber at the same time. All phone calls get logged before I forget.

I scan all the business cards I get from networking + import directly, immediately associate the name, face + profession along w/ follow-up promises. Love copying faces from LinkedIn to my new friend’s profiles. Also copy the business card image into my Company files. All my paper files go away.
